How to design cold storage?

Before designing the cold storage, we must first determine how much cold storage the customer needs to build. The size of the cold storage is designed according to the maximum amount of items the customer wants to store. After determining the capacity of the cold storage, determine the length, width, and height of the cold storage separately, so that the cold storage design framework is basically formed.

In addition, environmental factors also play a very important role in the design of cold storage. Ideally, cold storage should be built in a cool place with no sunlight and good ventilation. There should be good drainage conditions around, and the groundwater level should be low. It is better to have a compartment under the cold storage and maintain good ventilation. Keeping dry is very important for cold storage. In addition, a three-compartment power supply with corresponding capacity should be set up in advance according to the power of the refrigerator before the design and construction of the cold storage. If water-cooled units are used for refrigeration, tap water pipes should be laid and cooling towers should be built.

The design of the cooling system is mainly the selection of a compressor and evaporator. Under normal circumstances, small-scale cold storages use hermetic compressors as the main choice. Because of the low power of hermetic compressors, the price is relatively cheap; while medium-sized cold storages generally use semi-hermetic compressors; large-scale cold storages use semi-hermetic compressors. When choosing, you can also consider using ammonia refrigeration compressors, because ammonia refrigeration compressors It has high power and can be used for multiple purposes. However, the installation and management of cold storage are cumbersome. When the evaporator is selected in the cold storage design, the high-temperature cold storage uses the air cooler as the evaporator, which is characterized by fast cooling speed, but it is easy to cause moisture in the refrigerated products. Loss: Medium and low-temperature cold storage mainly uses evaporating pipes made of seamless steel pipes, which are characterized by a good constant temperature effect and can store cold in a timely manner.

The last is the selection of insulation materials. One type of cold storage heat insulation material is processed into a plate with a fixed shape and specification, which has a fixed length, width, and thickness. The storage plate of the corresponding specification can be selected according to the needs of the storage body installation. Insulation materials must be adapted to local conditions, not only must have good insulation performance but also be economical and practical.

At present, the most commonly used thermal insulation materials in the market are polyurethane and polyphenylene. Polyurethane does not absorb water and has better heat insulation, but the cost is higher; polyphenyl resin has strong water absorption and poor heat insulation, but the cost is lower. The structure of modern cold storage is developing towards prefabricated cold storage. The cold storage components including the moisture-proof layer and the heat-insulating layer are made and assembled on-site. The advantage is that the construction is convenient, fast, and movable, but the cost is relatively high. High and medium-temperature cold storage generally use 10 cm thick storage boards, and low-temperature cold storage and freezing cold storage generally use 12 cm or 15 cm thick storage boards; another type of cold storage can be sprayed and foamed with polyurethane, and the material is sprayed directly to the building to be built. In the brick or concrete warehouse of the cold storage, it is both moisture-proof and heat-insulating after being shaped.
